Consecrate exists to cultivate a modern-day Renaissance—a reawakening to the power and passion of the gospel of Jesus Christ through multiple art forms, fields and disciplines without compromising biblical truth.
The 14th century Renaissance was a time marked by creative fervency, ingenuous invention and awe-inspiring architecture.
What was this driving force sending the world spinning?
For many Renaissance artists and inventors at the time, their answer was Jesus.
"It is impossible to separate the Renaissance and the Reformation. Nascent Renaissance thinking helped to bring about the Reformation, which in turn helped to bring about the full Renaissance.
Men like (Martin) Luther began to study the Bible for themselves rather than rely upon the authority of the church to tell them what the Bible said. As they studied, they found something radically different from what they had been taught in official church dogma.
The common people, who could not read the Scriptures in the original Greek and Hebrew (or in Latin), could now have a Bible of their own, and literacy rates soared as people determined to read the Bible for themselves.
Renaissance means 'rebirth,' and that is certainly what happened to society and culture as art and science came to full flower. Within the time of the Renaissance occurred a 'rebirth' of the church as well, as men began thinking biblically and independently" (GotQuestions.org).
The Lord is currently raising up prophets, reformers, and pioneers to pave the way for the second coming of Jesus Christ through a modern-day Renaissance.
We believe the Lord will use this modern-day Renaissance to usher in an ultimate reformation that will lead to an end-times revival, the final outpouring of the Holy Spirit to fulfill the Great Commission.
But until that day comes, when Jesus breaks through the sky and enters through the Eastern Gate to take His place as rightful King, we have a lot of work to do!
Even now, the Lord is calling us to birth the dreams, visions, callings, business, books, and ministries that will all be used to usher in this glorious modern Renaissance through elegant beauty, compassionate love, and courageous truth.

Whether she's editing a book for one of Jerusalem's most prominent writers or helping believers build businesses and ministries, Lauren is passionate about teaching others how to hear and obey the voice of God in every aspect of life, creativity, and business.
